In anticipation of Hurricane Matthew, South Carolina's governor has issued an evacuation order for coastal communities, which will have an impact on Post Offices in the region.

Retail and delivery operations in some communities have been suspended as of 12:00 p.m. ET October 5. Dropships to these Post Offices are also suspended. The Charleston Processing and Distribution Center will remain open and continue accepting mail. Conditions will be reevaluated tomorrow (October 6) based on the changes in the storm and its path.
