USPS Figures for 2014 Holiday Package Delivery

The U.S. Postal Service processed a record workload of 865.4 million packages during the December 2014 peak holiday season, according to an audit conducted by the USPS Office of Inspector General.  That represents an increase of 11.4 percent over December 2013, when 777.1 million packages were delivered. There were 4.2 million delayed packages, or 3.12 percent of the total, which compares favorably with 3.12 percent for 2013.
